The Story of PTPDC
The Pharmacy Technician Professional Development Conference (PTPDC) was created by pharmacy technicians who recognized a gap in professional development designed specifically for their practice.
Pharmacy technicians play a critical role in medication safety, clinical support, and patient care across Ontario’s healthcare system — yet few opportunities existed that focused on their education, leadership growth, and professional identity.
PTPDC was founded to change that.
What began as a small initiative has grown into Canada’s largest conference dedicated to Ontario pharmacy technicians, bringing together professionals from across the province to learn, connect, and advance their practice together.
As a nonprofit organization, PTPDC is committed to elevating the profession through annual conferences, ongoing community engagement, and meaningful partnerships with healthcare educators and industry leaders.
